Our process
Careful work at every stage.

Strip to the frame
Each piece is taken down to its foundation so we can properly assess its structure, materials, and condition.

Rebuild with integrity
We repair and rebuild what is necessary using methods and materials that support the original design.

Upholster with precision
From seam placement to cushion shape, every detail is executed with discipline and accuracy.

Finish with care
The final piece is refined, inspected, and prepared for delivery with the level of finish it deserves.
MID-CENTURY ICON
The Era of the Eames Lounge Chair
Introduced in 1956, the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman distilled craft, comfort, and industrial precision into a single quiet silhouette that still reads as contemporary decades later. At Mod Restoration we treat these pieces as important design objects: we preserve original proportions, repair structure where age and use demand it, and renew upholstery and cushions with materials chosen for long-term performance.
Every chair tells us when it was made, often before we open it, from its label, cushion construction, clip hardware, and how it was originally assembled. Knowing the era is the difference between a respectful restoration and an expensive mistake. Mismatched parts or shortcuts can stress veneers, seams, and mounts in ways that show up months later.
